Business Law Problem.?

Howard inherited a 10-acre parcel of land on the edge of Wichita from his aunt. He knows nothing about the land, but realizes that due to its proximity to Kellogg it has economic potential. He decided that it would be a good place to open a restaurant. A neighboring property owner told Howard that he had heard the land cannot “legally be used for commercial purposes”. Howard did not know what the neighbor was talking about, and told him to “get lost”. Discuss what steps Howard needs to take, both legally and practically, to find out if he can legally operate a business on the land. Be specific as to the legal terms and concepts.

  1. In the immortal words of Howard's neighbor, "get lost." Do your own homework.
  2. Haha, I wonder what your professor would say if he saw this question being asked on yahoo answers? I would check the zoning laws of the county, see if that parcel of property has been annexed by the city or is part of the city. You can do the rest of your homework yourself now by reading your text.
