Did they pick General Motors to buy and save because they wouldn't have to change the signs?

Government Motors and I have heard you cannot fire a government employee, no matter what they do.

1. No. They didn't it because neither Party wants to be the ones responsible for letting GM fail - otherwise they'll feel it in the next election.

6. They picked General Motors because it is "too big to fail." Too many people rely on GM for their incomes, including almost all members of the UAW.
7. Chrysler was bailed out by the government in 1979/1980. This is GM's first bailout.
8. They didn't need a government takeover to keep people from being fired. They UAW makes it impossible to fire anyone which is why among other things the UAW is responsible for the demise of GM and Chrysler as we know them. The UAW is now a welfare agency that just happens to make cars at a loss instead of a profit.
