Why isn't General Motors being forced to be accountable for their mismanagement of their company?

Another entity that expects to get corporate welfare! Yet, they get the money and they're STILL offshoring jobs and the money seems to run like water through a sieve. Why isn't the government, their shareholders and others demanding some explanations?

1. They are protected by both political parties. Republicans tend to protect incompetent managers who were too stupid and too srubborn to move to more fuel efficient cars years ago. Democrats protect the grossly overpaid and lazy UAW union and its workers who have run the company into the ground. The general public has responded to incompetent managers and overpaid, lazy, unskilled workers by taking their business to Japanese manufactirers.
