How do you get your tamagotchi pet to the next generation?

I cant visit the parents unless I get to the next generation or higher. But the thign is that I don't know how or when I can get to the next generation.

1. you need to let the tamagotchi pet die than you will have an egg than it will hatch one day you will have a brand new tamagotchi pet!!
2. You have to connect with friends alot. After, the "matchmaker" will came, and if connected enough times, you will marry. Then you will recive a kid. (PS: You may reject the matchmaker, but you wont get a kid) And you have to go to tamatown.com to visit the parents.
3. Please dont let it die, thats the worst way and it sets you back even further. If you do not have a friend to connect with then when your tama turns 7 a matchmaker oldie will come visit and she will offer you a match to love or not and then they will get married and have a baby. After 24 hours the parent will leave at midnight and when your baby tama wakes up, you will have a new generation! How exciting! I've never made it past gen 2. :( I always get distracted or something big happens and they get left somewhere all alone. It spretty sad that I feel bad for a toy, but I guess it just shows how much I like tamas!
