What do you think the next generation will be if the present generation is already having kids?

What is your opinion? I remember someone saying that years ago, it was acceptable to have kids around 12 or 13 because the life expectancy was 25-30, now it is about 80-90. I remember someone on the news saying an 8 year old gave birth! My friend, 13, got pregnant by a high schooler and now he is no where to be found. Will the next generation be worse? Is there any way to prevent what might happen?

1. No one knows if the next generation will be worst. There is nothing "wrong" with the current generation either. Just b/c some people are having children earlier doesn't really mean much. My daughter (age 16) has a 3 month old. It would have been great if she could have waited, but it's a little late now. But Charianna, my daughter, will be able to see her daughter longer. Since she had her at such a young age & everything. There is no cure to make the world better. ~Ella~
2. Historically there is a knee jerk reaction to trends. For instance during the '50's and early 60's we had Ward and June Cleaver.... and even Lucielle Ball and Desi Arnez had to sleep in separate beds even though in real life they were actually married. Then came free love of the late 60's and early 70's. All of the sudden everyone is sleeping with everyone else. Then knee jerk to Jerry Falwell and the whole Morale Majority in the 80's Then knee jerk to lesbians kissing on TV and you can't go to school in the morning without hearing on the radio 10 different ways to enhance male erections. So the next generation will once again knee jerk to something where it will be wrong to be anything but a virgin.... maybe the church will step in and start beheading people again.... that would be interesting.
3. children have been having children forever but it was NEVER openly talked about . i don't think someone should get pregnant at 13 but im sure back in the 70's there were 13 year olds having sex but it was kept secret b/c "that kind of stuff never happens"
4. Not unless young girls stop sleeping around. The trouble is so many of them have children and don't know which man or boy is the real father. This could cause real problems in the future because a couple could meet, fall in love and marry or just have children, without knowing they are close blood relatives, hence in-breeding!
5. Actually, a huge reason that all of these young adults are having kids is because of older generations. A 14 year old is very easily molded and manipulated. Their self-esteem can be crushed very quickly which leads to other, worse things (drugs, sex etc.). Many parents are not doing being good role models, and they are hurting their children psychologically. (I have seen this FIRST HAND) Many parents want to be the child's "friend" and is not being a parent. This is one of the biggest mistakes a parent can make, and this trend is on the rise!! Kids are being raised by kids! Another huge thing with parents is that they're screwed up when they have kids. They were possibly abused or something and now abuse their own kids, which creates a vicious cycle of abuse and broken people. People have children when they are not financially, emotionally, or physically ready to have kids, and this can create children that are very messed up. The only way that we can make the next generation better is to learn from past generations. We need to look at and analyze where parents have gone wrong, and try to change. We can't just 'wing it.' The next generation could be worse in some ways, but it will also be better in other ways, and that is all we can hope for. We can only hope that we provide good environments and help mold stable people and that hopefully these people will learn from our mistakes and grow on them to make an even better world than the one that WE live in. And believe it or not, this is a great period of time to be alive in.
6. Well girls are getting their periods younger and younger.... so I would anticipate that the age will drop even further on babies having babies. It scares me to think that a 9 yr old girl can have a period and actually get pregnant... I am terrified to think it's coming but I think it is. You know there is a lot to say about a chastity belt!
7. I think alot of it has to do of parent raising's, these days alot of parents are bad influences on there own kids, its really sad and if something isn't done soon then there is know hope. You were saying that people had kids at younger ages, yes that is true but people seemed to be more responsible back then to, the parents could support there own kids with know problems, these days the parents are supporting there Grandchildren, the world is in trouble !!! lack of jobs the economies you name it.
8. I can only hope and pray that the next generation will be better. Now we are facing quite a few problems, global warming for example. I can only hope that the next generation takes better care of our home.
