Should I wait for the next generation of iPods?

I am planning on receiving money this Christmas for an iPod, but should I get one now, or should I wait for the next generation? (I think that the 8GB nano chromatic is the best choice for me currently) Also, if you think I should wait, when do you predict the next generation is coming and what changes do you expect will be made?

1. I wouldn't wait if you're thinking of the nano. I mean other than its shape change or color i believe the nano is here to stay and the changes will probably be small. After all if you think it'll go to touch screen they already have the ipod touch. Try and get the student discount if it still exists.
2. I don't think there will be any big changes for nanos, or any other thing besides ipod touc/phone
3. personally i prefer ZUNE over IPOD but i wouldnt wait for the next generation if u want an ipod
4. No, why wait? the WHOLE POINT of an iPod is so you can listen to music plus apple comes out with different generations almost every year and the chromatic is pretty good. so why wait?
5. i think u should get the ipod nano because when i got it it was only $149 its like really cheap
